Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, uttered that there is no discrimination for building control above water channel. All buildings standing above water channel will be demolished.

The water could not flow maximally to channel if it is covered. And the result is puddle around the channel.
Now, the puddle has receded faster since channels are dredged and cleaned.
