Jakarta Dept. of Water Management will review about connecting channel normalization project in Petukangan, Cakung Sub-district, East Jakarta. The channel is complained by local residents due to unable to accommodate water and inundate the surrounding areas.
Deep review must be applied at the field to find the main problem
Head Board of River and Beach for East Water Flow, Jakarta Dept. of Water Management, Sumaryana, admitted that water debit in the channel was big. His side was planning to provide artificial lake or locally known as embung at Rawa Terate.
In fact, now the channel debit is decreasing from 12 meter of width to 6 meter.
