The landslide disaster in a citizen residential, Jalan Kemenyan, Ciganjur, South Jakarta, Tuesday (2/9) night, began to be investigated today, Wednesday (2/10). The disaster is because at the top of the cliff is a fence of Bukit Laguna Housing which was previously jutting into connecting channel of Setu River.

"We're now investigating the landslide cause, whether the developer uses trace or not in developing the connecting channel," said Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama, at City Hall, Wednesday (2/10).

He predicts the foundation was built jutting into trace by the developer. "Perhaps they put the foundation on our land, because they do not want to lose. Because the foundation is surely wide," he expressed.

If the foundation juts into river trace, he furthered, they will be asked to move it. Because it is very dangerous and detrimental.

"I suspect they did a mistake, that's why we check. You know, Jakarta has a lot of errors," he disclosed.

As for the information, a rented house was collapsed in landslide at Jalan Kemenyan, Ciganjur Urban Village, Jagakarsa Sub-District, South Jakarta, at 4.30 PM yesterday. No casualty in the disaster.
