Animals Secured from Traders in Latuharhari

Central Jakarta Administration raided animal traders who were selling on sidewalk on Jalan Latuharhari, Menteng, Central Jakarta. There were 20 animals secured.

Sulaastri Gultom, Central Jakarta Administration Economy Assistant, said the raid was also held to enforce Bylaw No. 11/1995 about Animal Prone to Rabies Supervision.

“We want to maintain for Jakarta free from rabies since 2004,” she said, Wednesday (2/24).

Meanwhile, M Mulyadi, Central Jakarta Head Sub-dept. of Maritime, Agriculture and Food Tenacity, stated those animals are 15 dogs and five cats.

“The animals were directly brought to animal house in Ragunan, South Jakarta,” he stated.
