6 Animal Got Anti Rabies Vaccinated

As much as four dogs an two persian cats got anti-rabies vaccine in car free day on Jl Suryopranoto, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Sunday (8/30).

Head of Central Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security Sub- Department (KPKP), Mulyadi acknowledged the effort is done as prevention action against rabies transmission and also for support action upon City Administration Free Rabies program.

907 Animals for Rabies Spreaders Vaccinated

 

“Through vaccination, it can prevent rabies transmission through animal,” he said.

 

Based on Central Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security Sub- Department’s data, as much as 1,614 animals had rabies vaccinated along January to August 30^th. They are 1,110 dogs, 496 cats and 8 monkeys. It targeted for 2,000 animals vaccinated in this year had already completed.

 

“Central Jakarta declared free of rabies since 2004 in accordance with the decree of Agriculture Ministry. To maintain this predicate injection vaccination activities need to be carried out r abies.

 

Mulyadi urged residents to vaccinate their pet in Central Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security Sub- Department office.

 

Suryanti (30), one of persian cat owner expresed that she utilized this moment to vaccinate her cat while enjoyin car-free day activity. “Though this cat had already got optimal treatment, I still vaccinate my cat to prevent any rabies threat,” she disclosed.
