Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama acknowledged that puddles in North Jakarta until Friday (2/26) morning is due to high rainfall and tidal wave.

He added, due to tidal wave, water flow must accumulate must be in line when entered into water channel. However, puddle quickly subsided. "But, if the sea receded, puddle will recede of course," he told.
Basuki Worries if Rain Pours Along With Tidal WaveHe disclosed, parts of ground in Jakarta is under the sea, which is reaching 40 percent. Thus if the condition happens simultaneously, it will lead to puddle.
As known, rain that poured since Thursday (2/25) night has left puddle at 31 points.
