Investigating Cable Skin Case, City Police Forms Special Team

Jakarta Police chief Ins. Gen. Tito Karnavian admitted his side is still investigating the finding of cable skin inside water channel on Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan. His side has formed a special team together with Sub-dept. of Water Management and PLN to reveal this case.

Why they did not clean the cable skin? We’ll check the contractor

Based on early information collected by city police, cable skin is an old properties. There was a development around the location in 2014, but the cable skin was not cleaned.

“Why they did not clean the cable skin? We’ll check the contractor,” he said, Wednesday (3/2).

Cable Skin Clearance Remains Continued

City police and PLN have collected the cable sample to be investigated of its brand, type and when it was installed.

Responding about sabotage issue, he denied to comment since investigation is not finished yet.

Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama also denied to give his statement about this case.

“I give this case to city police fully,” he stated.
