Garbage Heaps Under Kalibata Bridge Cleaned

Since this morning, garbage heaps once again seen under Kalibata Bridge, Rawajati, Pancoran, South Jakarta. It makes water volume from Ciliwung River rising.  

Garbage volume is higher or reaching 50 percent than on Sunday (2/28)

Based on Beritajakarta.com observations, garbage under Kalibata Bridge is dominated by wooden logs, splinter trees, bamboo, tarpaulins, styrofoam, slippers, bottled beverages, and so on.

"Garbage volume is higher or reaching 50 percent than on Sunday (2/28)," said Management of UPK's Water Agency for South Jakarta Cleanliness Dept, Rohmat said, Saturday (3/5).

To conduct cleanliness, the Cleanliness Dept sent three heavy equipments to the field, comprising two units of bechoe and one unit of excavator. Then they dispose garbage into Bantar Gebang Landfil.

"We also send five small-sized trucks ad five big-sized tronton trucks to pick up the garbage there. Maybe, we will send more," he told.

He predicts, garbage transportation could reach 30-40 rits than last Sunday which reached 18 rits.

"Hopefully, all could be done today," he hoped.
