Beef Market Operation Effectively Declines Price

Beef market operation held in 22 locations of Pasar Jaya are effective to decrease its price. Previously, beef price was above Rp 120 thousand. Now the price is Rp 105-115 thousand per kilogram.

Lutfi Rachman, PD Pasar Jaya Director, admitted the operation has been held in six days and the result is effective to press beef price.
“I think it’s effective since the price could be decreased Rp 5-10 thousand per kilogram,” he said, Tuesday (3/8).
Low-cost Beef Market Opens on March 1-15His side sells beef Rp 90-95 thousand per kilogram. The market operation will be held up to March 15.
“In the future, beef stock would be distributed by PD Dharma Jaya. So we could control the price,” he added.
The operation is held in Johar Baru Market, Cempaka Putih and Jembatan Merah Market in Central Jakarta, Kramat Jati, Cibubur, and Matraman Market in East Jakarta. Rawa Badak Market, Pademangan Timur, and Sindang Market in North Jakarta, Mayestik, Kebayoran Lama, and Minggu Market in South Jakarta, while in West Jakarta are Tomang Barat, Grogol and Glodok Market.
