Floods continued to engulf Jl Raya DI Panjaitan, Cipinang Cempedak, Jatinegara, East Jakarta yesterday, inundating slow lane from Cililitan towards Tanjung Priok with water level between 30-50 cm.

I think the puddle is low, but deep enough. And my motorcycle broke down

Based on Beritajakarta.com observations, puddle came at around 5-7 PM when heavy rain pours. It has been receded gradually at 8 AM. It caused traffic jam from Cililitan towards Tanjung Priok up to two kilometers and motorcycles broke down.

Handoko. (30), a motorcyclist admitted he was recklessly breaking through the puddle on Jalan DI Panjaitan. No wonder, he had to push his bike to a dry place due to breaking down.

"I think the puddle is low, but deep enough. And my motorcycle broke down," he exclaimed, Tuesday (3/15).

Aji, (38), one of Cipinang Urban Village's PPSU officers said puddle happens because water channel along the road cannot accommodate water in large quantities.

"The water then overflows into the street," he stated.
