The Burnt Transjakarta Bus was Submerged 30 Hours

The fact revealed that double decker bus serving corridor IX route Pinang Ranti – Pluit burnt in Gatot Subroto heading Semanggi, South Jakarta, Sunday Morning(3/8) had submerged by flood more than 30 hours.

The bus was already checked fully after the flood incident. Everything was fine

The director of PT Transportasi Jakarta Antonius Kosasih confirmed that the bus which completely burnt nearby Pancoran Barat bus shelter had submerged in Sunter in early February.

He asserted that the burnt incident doe not related to flood. “The bus was already checked fully after the flood incident. Everything was fine,” he uttered.

As reported earlier, there were 50 passengers on that bus with license plate number B 7195 IX. Panic passengers were spilled out of the bus promptly when they realized a fire.

The driver tried to put out the fire using light fire extinguisher which is already provided on the bus. But it did not work out. Luckily one emergency fire incident tackling car arrived at the scene then succeed to extinguish fire.

There is no casualty in this incident, passengers had been evacuated and immediately moved to other same route bus.
