Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama admitted had learn about app-based public transport regulation in Singapore. There is different regulation in Singapore, so the implementation in Jakarta must use accurate regulation.

“I have learned to Land Transport Authority (LTA) in Singapore. They also attached stickers, but the cars pay tax as individual,” he said, Wednesday (3/23).

Moreover, a company in Indonesia can not be run by an individual. It must under limited company (PT) or cooperative.

“We can say legal if they are managed under cooperative or similar like that,” he added.

Temporarily, app-based public transport operation is stopped until they fulfil the requirements completely. If not, Jakarta Dept. of Transportation will arrest the transport.
