Jakarta Dept. of Fire Handling and Rescue (PKP) controlled poultry cages at fire handling (damkar) dormitory in North Jakarta.
Our first stage is collecting data of dormitory occupants who have poultry, then we burned the cages
The effort is aimed to anticipate bird flu spread which recently rises up.
Satriadi Gunawan, North Jakarta Head Sub-dept. of PKP, admitted that the effort is based on Head Department’s Instruction No. 09/2016 about Department’s Dormitory Orderliness.

According to him, mostly the poultries are relocated, sold, or slaughtered. Similar effort will be run continually together with RT and RW caretakers.
“It is hoped our effort could minimize bird flu spread in North Jakarta, especially at dormitory,” he added.
