City Supports National Film

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama promised will continue to assist the development of the national film industry. One of them is by screening Indonesia films on City Hall Tour every weekend. Even in the future, every mayor office in the five areas is also required to play a national film.

"In City Hall, we will play national films every weekend. Surely we buy it," he stated, when he attended celebration of National Film Day (HFN) 2016 at City Hall, Wednesday (3/30).

He asked the film maker to more actively communicate with Jakarta Provincial Government. Thus the needs required in the film can be seen.

Basuki Supports Indonesian Film Industry

"The most difficult thing is not money here, but idea, creativity and honesty," he expressed.

According to him, Jakarta government has huge budget in Jakarta Tourism and Culture Dept where it can be used to help and develop national film through work program as well as arts and cultural activities.

"We want your idea, we will cover it. It is better to give fund to who are professionals, "he said.
