Basuki Supports Indonesian Film Industry

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama attended a movie premier "Talak Tiga" in XXI Jakarta Theater, Jalan MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta.

In that occasion, Basuki accompanied by regional working unit (SKPD), gave appreciation to the movie directed by Ismail Basbeth and Hanung Bramantyo.

According to him, the movie brings lots of moral messages in life, especially sacrifice to others based for love.

"This moral message should be taught to our children. So we hope the Indonesian film industry can continue to improve," he hoped, Thursday (2/25).

Besides that, it also features a number of tourist destinations in Indonesia and can also promote it to the world.

"As we know America is wonderful from its Hollywood movies. That's why the Talak 3 movie could be a good tourism promotion," he uttered.

Nevertheless, the theater nowadays had a problem due to monopoly business. It causes almost all theaters finally closed down.

"My appreciation for the presence of Indonesian movies that are still aired on the big screen, I am often watching a movie in a year, this is also a form of support for us on movie homeland," he said.
