Tens of joint personnel busted two tofu factories, Wednesday (3/30). It is allegedly that the factories produce formalin-preserved tofu. The effort was led by East Jakarta Vice Mayor, Husein Murad.
Today’s raid found formalin-preserved tofu at Jatinegara market
Based on Beritajakarta.com’s observation, those two factories are owned by Muqri and Rifiq on Jalan Bekasi Timur VI, RT 12/08 Cipinang Besar Utara, Jatinegara.
Husein Murad admitted that the raid was held based on report by traders at Jatinegara market. Trader’s tofu contains formalin.
Formalin-Preserved Fish Found at Traditional Markets“Today’s raid found formalin-preserved tofu at Jatinegara market. That’s why we pursue the factories,” he said.
The factories will be closed down if the case is true, while crime sanction will be handed over to police.
