Five traditional markets in East Jakarta were raided by joint personnel, Wednesday (3/30). The effort was aimed to check chemical substance from products sold by the traders.

Bayu Sarihastuti, East Jakarta Head Sub-dept. of Maritime, Agriculture and Food Tenacity, admitted that those five markets are Pasar Jatinegara, Rawamangun, Ampera Pulogadung, Palmeriam and Kebon Kosong.
“This is second raid held in East Jakarta. Our targets are agriculture, husbandry and fishery products,” he said.
Formalin Food Found in Central JakartaDuring the raid, his side involved 70 joint personnel from BPOM, City Police, urban village, sub-district, and other related units.
