The occupants of Jatinegara Barat flat are able to ride Transjakarta bus freely.

Since the first launching of Jatinegara Barat flat in December 2015 ago, Transjakarta bus did not enter the flat. Now, the occupants can ride the bus without charge.

Agung (40), one of occupants, said he has to go to Kampung Melayu Terminal  as far as 200 meter. Then he shows ID card domicile of Jatinegara Barat flat.

“I went to Ancol by riding the bus. It is free,” he said, Monday (4/4).

Meanwhile, Rizal (35), one of security personnel, admitted mostly the occupants’ profession are traders in Jatinegara Market. Their activity is using motorcycle or angkot (mini van). Market distance to the flat is about 500-700 meter.

“If they took Transjakarta bus, the distance gets longer since there is no shelter at the flat. They must walk to nearest terminal by 200 meter,” he admitted.
