Please do not control street vendors recklessly

Basuki assessed street vendor number in South Jakarta is huge. Street vendors should not be neglected because official does not know how to handle them.

“Kemang area contour is lower, but the designation is for business, apartment, and office. No more permit for that. We should buy the area and provide disable-friendly park. We can accommodate street vendors also,” he said, Tuesday (4/5).

Basuki admitted street vendors in Jakarta are often controlled by apparatus. In fact, their selling area does not disturb road users. Street vendors should be arranged well.

“Please do not control street vendors recklessly,” he added.
