Scholarship Promised to Be Given for Exam Participants in Cipinang Prison

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat promised to provide education scholarship to university for students who sit the c-package national exam or equal to SMA in Cipinang Prison (Lapas), East Jakarta.

They will get Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) for free. But they must be smart

"Scholarship will specially be dedicated to those who pass with high score and have intention to continue education to the next level. They will get Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) for free. But they must be smart," he stated, when he reviewed the exam in Cipinang Prison, Tuesday (4/5).

He conveyed, achievement and high academic score will determine whether scholarship at the college continued or otherwise. In each semester, Jakarta Provincial Government will evaluate academic score from students who receive scholarship through the KJP.

124 Students Are Absent from Second Exam

"It is called scholarship, thus there will be evaluation each semester. If they give good score, we will give it again. So they still have chance," he expressed.

Meanwhile, Gunawan Sanjaya (30), one of c-package exam participants in Cipinang Prison positively welcome such promise regarding scholarship.

"Hopefully, I could receive it," he hoped.
