Tens of buildings stood atop the Taman Kota connecting channel, RT 12/16 and RT 16/05, Kembangan Utara, Kembangan Sub-district, West Jakarta, demolished by 120 PPSU and 50 Satpol PP officers.

Totally, we control 70 illegal buildings manually.

Kembangan Sub-district Head, Agus Ramdani said demolishment is done to restore the function of the channel that covered by building.

"Totally, we control 70 illegal buildings manually. Yet some owners have demolished their buildings by themselves," he stated, Wednesday (4/6).

Kembangan Sub-district Water Management Section Head, Yusuf Kasim added, temporarily, mud dredging will be conducted manually. Because, heavy equipment cannot enter due to narrow access road. 

"We're still coordinating with Kembangan  Sub-district to do dredging using heavy equipment," he closed.
