Hundreds of poultry kept by residents at urban villages in Central Jakarta have been burnt by local Sub-dept. of Maritime, Agriculture and Food Tenacity (KPKP) in order to anticipate bird flu spread.
Today we have burnt 367 poultry from three urban villages
M Mulyadi, agency’s head, said yesterday’s raid was held in Petamburan, Tanah Abang, Kebon Kosong Urban Villages, Kemayoran and Cempaka Putih Barat Urban Village, Cempaka Putih.
“Today we have burnt 367 poultry from three urban villages,” he said, Wednesday (4/6).
Chicken in Sunter Jaya Secured During Poultry RaidThose 367 poultry are 33 poultry, 10 chickens, 19 pigeons, and two ducks in Kebon Kosong Urban Village. Next are 93 chickens, 91 pigeons, 16 ducks in Cempaka Putih Barat Urban Village.
“In Petamburan, we burned 80 pigeons, 77 chickens, 6 ducks. 115 cages are also burned,” he closed.
