Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama does a groundbreaking of Semanggi Interchange today, Friday (4/8). It is done to parse traffic congestion in Semanggi area.

"By saying thanksgiving, Semanggi interchange project begins," he stated, during groundbreaking in Semanggi, South Jakarta, Friday (4/8).

Jakarta Bina Marga Dept Head, Yusmada Faisal added, there are two interchanges that will be build. They are from Grogol-Blok M as long as 796 meters, and Polda-Monas as long as 826 meters. It is hoped the project could parse congestion in Semanggi.
"With two ramps, there is no longer a vehicle that intersect in the region. Hopefully, the vehicle can have each lane in the upcoming 2017," he hoped.
Project fund is from obligation of Japanese subsidiary company, Mori Company (PT Mitra Panca Persada). Its amount reached Rp 360 billion, with details physical project Rp 345 billion and Rp 15 billion for consultant cost. While the contractor that will do the construction, PT Wijaya Karya (Wika).
