"Previously we had estimated that Semanggi Flyover to spend Rp 540 billion, but it only spends Rp 300 billion after passing through long auction process," he stated, at City Hall, Thursday (3/31).

Such construction will be handed over to Mori Company which requests for an increased the building floor coefficients (KLB). This Japanese company then conducts the auction, which was won by PT Wijaya Karya (Wika).

Semanggi Elevated Road Groundbreaking Starts Next Week

According to him, the rest fund (Rp 200 billion) from the initial forecast will be diverted to build ducting along Jl Sudirman and Jl MH Thamrin. This is because compensation to increase the KLB for Mori Company reached Rp 570 billion.

As planned, the groundbreaking of Semanggi Flyover will be realized on April 8. Then the construction is targeted to be complete in the upcoming 2017. Basuki has asked President Joko 'Jokowi' Jokowi to inaugurate it.

"This is to parse traffic jam," he finished.
