Standing on Public Facilities, 20 Stalls at Jl Supiori Torn Down

Due to standing on public facilities, 70 joint personnel from Satpol PP and PPSU assisted by army and police tore down 20 stalls alongside Jl Supiori, Cideng Urban Village, Central Jakarta today, Monday (4/11). 

There are 20 stalls torn down and this is part of our implementation to arrange street vendor

Based on Beritajakarta.com, to tear down building, the officer uses a hammer and then transports the building debris to truck belongs to Cleanliness Dept.

Deputy Mayor of Central Jakarta, Arifin disclosed, demolishment is done to restore the road function. He explains, the vendor has been selling since 1985, and will be relocated to Petojo Ilir Market.

"There are 20 stalls torn down and this is part of our implementation to arrange street vendor," he told, Monday (4/11).\

He went on the say that, afterwards, Central Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-dept will directly repair the road.

On the other side, Head of Gambir Sub-district, Fauzi disclosed that his side has sent warning letter and held socialization in order to smoothen execution process.

"Some vendors have torn down their buildings by themselves," he finished.
