Vehicle Testing Office (PKB) in Ujung Menteng, Cakung, East Jakarta is prone to puddle during heavy rain. Water level could reach 20 cm and inundating inside and outside office’s parking lot.
The area will be inundated during rain up to 5 hours before fully recede
During yesterday’s rain from 2.30 PM to 3 PM, the area was inundated.
Slamet (49), one of local traders, admitted the condition is still the same with last year. Water channel on Jalan Raya Bekasi did not function normally.
Water Channel on Jalan Pademangan IV Dredged“The area will be inundated during rain up to 5 hours before fully recede,” he said, Wednesday (4/13).
Dedy Dwi Widodo, office’s head, explained clogged water channel has caused this condition. During rain, his personnel always cleaned trash on the channel.
“Inundation did not disturb the vehicle testing,” he added.
