Huge Billboard on Jalan S Parman Collapsed and Injured 3

Heavy rain and strong wind in West Jakarta on Tuesday (4/22) afternoon has caused a huge billboard on Jalan S Parman, Slipi, near Wisma BCA Slipi building, collapsed and hit six vehicles.

The incident also injured three motorcyclists. Two of them were rushed to Pelni Petamburan Hospital, while the other one was taken to the nearest clinic

West Jakarta Resort Police Traffic Unit Chief AKBP Ipung Purnomo said the incident occurred at around 4 PM. The six vehicles consist of two box trucks B 9556 UCK and B 9010 IJ, Nissan Grand Livina car B 1202 BZW, and three motorcycles.

The incident also injured three motorcyclists. Two of them were rushed to Pelni Petamburan Hospital, while the other one was taken to the nearest clinic. The police, Satpol PP, and firemen are currently doing investigation at the scene,” he told, Tuesday (4/22).

Because of this incident, traffic congestion was inevitable along Jalan S Parman, especially from Tomang towards Slipi.

Besides collapsed billboard, fallen trees also happened on Jalan Kemanggisan Raya behind Pusri office, behind Harapan Kita Hospital, in front of Total office on Jalan S Parman, and on Jalan KS Tubuh in front of Textile Museum.

“We don’t know yet about the incident of fallen trees. However, our men are heading there to evacuate the fallen trees. No casualty reported,” stated Head of Green Lane Section for West Jakarta Parks Sub-Department, Kadirun.
