Following slow lane elimination policy on Jalan Sudirman-Thamrin and motorcycle ban, the city administration is going to provide free bus service along such protocol road.

"We're also doing a trial of several buses. We will provide it a lot along Jalan Sudirman-Thamrin for motorcyclist," disclosed Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama, in Rawa Buaya Children-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA), Cengkareng, Jakarta, Tuesday (4/19).

Basuki described one bus could accommodate 100 passengers. Surely it can resolve traffic jam.

"Principally, one small bus can carry 100 people. So in Jakarta, we will use the left lane for double-decker bus. This is free of charge, don't worry," he explained.

He also hoped, after Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) was applied, the private vehicle user would switch to public transport. His party also plans to build a parking lot for motorcycle behind Plaza Indonesia.
