Jakarta Provincial Government holds coordination with district court, attorney, and city police to apply maximum fine for traffic offender.
Maximum fine is about to apply based on regulation
Maximum fine means applying fine Rp 500 thousand or two months jailed according to Act No. 2/2009 about traffic and road transport. It is hoped the policy would give wary effect.
“Maximum fine is about to apply based on regulation,” said Sunardi Sinaga, Vice Dept. of Transportation, Tuesday (4/26).
Transjakarta Fleet for Depok and Bekasi AddedMaximum fine is applied for contra flow and Transjakarta lane offenders. It is because many accident cases happened on Transjakarta lane.
“2-5 minutes Transjakarta headway could be run if no offenders on the lane,” he added.
By providing short headway, it is hoped private vehicle users would move using public transport.
