Tens of Satpol PP personnel tore down 18 buildings on Jalan Blumbang, RT 06/06 and 04/07, Karet Kuningan Urban Village, Setiabudi today, Wednesday (4/27). The buildings were torn down due to standing on the water channel.

Setiabudi Sub-district Vice Head, Tamo Sijabat disclosed the buildings that have been torn down are used as a business site. It has been ongoing since ten years.

"We've sent warning letter to the owner before tearing down the building. Most buildings are used as food, magazine and newspaper stalls," he told, Wednesday (4/27).

He added, local citizens had bribed urban village head not to tear their buildings, but the head rejected it.

"After this, we will normalize the channel," he closed.
