Sudirman-Thamrin Area Arrangement Starts This Year

Jakarta Provincial Government is about to arrange Sudirman-Thamrin area starting this year. It is targeted before Asian Games 2018.
No city budget for the arrangement. It will use developer’s obligation
Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama said the arrangement is not included in City Budget 2016. It will use developer’s obligation after proposing to increase building coefficient.
“No city budget for the arrangement. It will use developer’s obligation,” he said, Monday (5/2).
Semanggi Elevated Road Could Decrease CongestionBasuki wants the arrangement to be complete inline with Semanggi flyover, or precisely in August 2017.
“In 2017, we’ll trial Asian Games 2018 venues. Jakarta would has new face to welcome the event,” he added.
Jakarta Head Dept. of Bina Marga, Yusmada, explained the project will not only eliminate slow and fast lane, but also traffic line. “It includes sidewalk and park,” he stated.
