June, Sheet Pile Installation in Bukit Duri Begins

Jakarta Water Management Dept is going to install a sheet pile in Ciliwung River in the upcoming June. It waits for citizen relocation, especially those on the side of Bukit Duri that will complete by the end of May.

Relocation process must be complete this month, and then continued with sheet pile installation

Jakarta Water Management Dept Head, Teguh Hendrawan disclosed his dept has coordinated with Housing and Government Building Dept to prepare the flat. Thus sheet pile installation could be done on time.

"Relocation process must be complete this month, and then continued with sheet pile installation," he stated, at City Hall, Tuesday (5/3).

Bukit Duri Relocation to Complete End of May

He disclosed, temporarily, sheet pile installation may be a solution flood in Bukit Duri. Considering the waterway construction in Ciliwung-East Flood Canal (KBT) is still constrained by lawsuit from Bidaracina citizens.

"Bukit Duri should be completed this year. It's a project for the government, for the sake of the public, so we must firmly relocate the citizens," he finished.
