Tens of kilograms of meet without expiration date were seized by Central Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-dept during sudden inspection in one of supermarkets in Atrium Senen, Central Jakarta, Monday (5/9).

Central Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-dept Head, M Mulyadi lamented the supermarkets are not attaching expiration date. It is risky for the consumer.

"We found 30 kilograms of meat without expiration date such as beef ribs, tail and lungs," he told, Monday (5/9).

Further, the seller is appealed to ask for data from the supplier in order to know the expiration date. If not, it will endanger the consumer.

"The management will process the permit, so we will issue technical recommendations, if there is no correction," he finished.
