The extension trial of 3 in 1 elimination will finish on Saturday (5/14). Traffic jam is still happening from Medan Merdeka Barat - Bunderan Senayan and Simpang Slipi - Simpang Kuningan.

Traffic jam occurred during 5 PM to 7 PM

Andri Yansyah, Jakarta Head Dept. of Transportation, said travel time of Medan Merdeka Barat - Bunderan Senayan in the morning during 3 in 1 was 15 minutes. In fact, it needed 28 minutes during first week trial, 35 minutes during second week trial, and 30 minutes during third week trial.

“Returning flow during 3 in 1 was 21 minutes, 20 minutes during first week trial, 30 minutes during second week trial, and 24 minutes during fifth week trial,” he said, Tuesday (5/10).

In the evening, travel time for Medan Merdeka Barat- Bunderan Senayan took 23 minutes in 3 in 1. During first week abolishment trial, it took 28 minutes, second week was 43 minutes, and fifth week was 26 minutes. The returning flow was 20 minutes during 3 in 1, 23 minutes in first week trial, 31 minutes in second week trial, and 24 minutes in fifth week trial.

“Traffic jam occurred during 5 PM to 7 PM,” he added.

According him, 3 in 1 system is not significantly reduce traffic jam. Based on survey result, 72.4 percent participants agree for system abolition.
