Joglo Raya Road Widening Project Continued

After being delayed for almost 5 years, the widening project of Jalan Joglo Raya, Kembangan has found its bright spot. As many as 25 residents’ lands that were hampered the project, now are ready to be bought. Even so, some lands are still in endowment status so that the acquisition land is estimated to be finished in long time period.

Vice Chairman of West Jakarta Committee for Land Acquisition (P2T) Asril Marzuki said that the last land acquisition had been done in 2013. At least there were 25 lands had not been qualified its file completeness such as heir certificate, land certificate, and the taxes payment. As a result, the project was delayed.

But since last March 2014, some documents related to this land acquisition have been proceed and it still needs some study. “ The rest of 25 lands have been received, then in this May the document study will be finished and proposed to City Public Work Department to be paid ,” said Marzuki, Friday (4/25).

To acquire those 25 lands, the same price with the old appraisal, as much as Rp 3 million is still used. Marzuki hoped City Public Work Department has prepared the budget so that the project could start before Idul Fitri day in July.

However, his side has difficulty in acquiring the endowment land. “We need to talk about this with local society leaders. We hope the problem can be solved since the project needs to be done,” Marzuki explained.

As known, the widening project of Jalan Joglo Raya had run since 2009 as long as 1,4 kilometer. In this project, two lanes of the street will be widened to 8 meter so that it will have 26 meter of wide.

It is hoped the project could minimize traffic jam on Jalan Joglo Raya or the traffic from Jalan Meruya - Jalan Petukangan towards Jalan Pos Pengumben and Jalan Kebayoran Lama.
