Connecting Channel on Jalan Wahid Hasyim, Gondangdia, Menteng, Central Jakarta was dredged. The effort was done by Central Jakarta Sub-dept. of Water Management from south side up to Cideng river.
Channel is already filled with mud by 50-60 cm
Boris Karlop Lumbangaol, Central Jakarta Head Section of Maintenance for Sub-dept. of Water Management, said the effort was a routine agenda to smooth the water flow and increase the channel’s capacity.
“Channel is already filled with mud by 50-60 cm,” he said, Tuesday (5/10).
C. Jakarta Prepare 242 Janitors at PHBHis side deployed 22 personnel to clean the 219 meter channel. The effort is started since early May and targeted to complete this week.
“About 15,000 sediment sacks have been transported from the area,” he closed.
