Tens of stalls owned by street vendors along Jl Pejaten Raya, Pasar Minggu were controlled, Thursday (5/11). Besides violating Bylaw No.8/2007 on public order, its existence that built on sidewalk, roadside and water channel are also often protested by local residents. It also caused traffic jam. 

The officer managed to seize 15 tables, 5 iron tables and 50 plastic chairs

Pasar Minggu Satpol PP Taskforce Head, Patar Pakpahan disclosed the stalls were indeed targeted to be controlled last few days. This is because the officer has warned them but it was ignored.

"The officer managed to seize 15 tables, 5 iron tables and 50 plastic chairs. After demolishment, they also saw garbage heaps in the channel," he expressed, Wednesday (5/11).

Further, PPSU officer then immediately cleaned up such garbage. He added, the officer also controlled one food stall and nine carts because of parking on the roadside

"We send one truck, one garbage truck and one PPSU operational car. After being transported, we brought them to a warehouse in Kebayoran Lama," he finished.
