Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama disclosed, the Light Rail Transit (LRT) construction in the city will remain be executed. Yet, the LRT for Greater Jakarta construction is still waiting for President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo's decree.

LRT in Jakarta will remain run, managed by PT Jakpro. But for Greater Jakarta, is still waiting for president decree first

"LRT in Jakarta will remain run, managed by PT Jakpro. But for Greater Jakarta, is still waiting for president's decision first," disclosed Basuki, at City Hall, Wednesday (5/11).

June, LRT Project Begins

Although it is not conducted simultaneously, it will use the same rail type standard gauge which is international standard.

"We will use the same rail, but we do not want two floors inside the station," he stated.

This is because, he continued, the LRT in Jakarta can remain serve the buffer zone. The city administration will also provide subsidy or public service obligation (PSO) for LRT passenger.

"If the rail is the same, we can still serve people in Greater Jakarta, especially Bogor. While the Transportation Ministry would pay if there has been president decree," he finished.
