3 Refugee Camps Set Up in Krukut for Fire Victims

West Jakarta Social Sub-dept and Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) set up three refugee camps for fire victim at RW 02, Krukut Urban Village, Tambora, West Jakarta. 

The officers have been sent to set up refugee camps

Based on Beritajakarta.com, three refugee tents have been set up on the State SMK 35's field that is only a few hundred meters from the fire location. While a number of residents are still busy looking for the rest of their valuables in the home that had been burned down.

"The officers have been sent to set up refugee camps," said Surya, Head of West Jakarta Social Sub-dept, when being interviewed by Beritajakarta.com, Monday (5/16).

Fire Gut Hundreds Homes in Krukut

He went on the say that his side is still recording the victim data, because there are still many residents fled to the camps.

"Data recording is to ensure whether the aid has been sent or not. Today, we prepare the initial aid in form of blankets and mats. Then the other aid will arrive gradually," he told.

He explains, his side also has set up a public kitchen on the yard of West Jakarta Mayor office, Jl Raya Kembangan.

"Due to lack of space, we had to set up public kitchen in the mayor office. We prepare food for fire victim here," he closed.
