Execution in Tanah Abang Tinged with Riot

Monday (5/16), an execution that intensified on illegal stalls and carts around Tanah Abang Market, tinged with riot. During controlling, Central Jakarta Satpol PP personnel managed to tear down eight stalls and carts on Jl Jatibaru Raya, precisely in front of Tanah Abang Station.

Central Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Iyan Sophian Hadi disclosed the controlling was conducted by sweeping Tanah Abang area in front of Block G, Jl KH Mas Mansyur and in front of Tanah Abang Station, Jl Jatibaru Raya. Around Block G, his side controlled five stalls and three carts on Jl Jatibaru Raya.

"In front of station, we get protest from stall owners in the field. But we can control it after giving an explanation to them," he told, Monday (5/16).

Further, stalls that have been seized will be destroyed at the spot. While the carts, the owner could redeem them, as long as they undergo a light criminal acts trial (Tipiring), which falls on May 20.

"We send 30 personnel to do controlling in the field," he closed.
