131,823 SMP Students to Undergo National Exam on May 5-8

As many as 131,823 students of junior high school (SMP), Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs), and Package C will undergo National Exam (UN) on May 5-8, 2014.

We also tell the students that national exam is a common thing, not something sudden. They have been prepared for three years to face this exam

Head of Jakarta Education Department, Lasro Marbun, said the exam will take place in 723 classrooms. The students are expected to be more confidence and do not believe the issue of answer keys leakage because the production of the exam sheets, starting from material compilation until sheets printing and distribution, is escorted tightly by the police.

“We also tell the students that national exam is a common thing, not something sudden. They have been prepared for three years to face this exam,” he stated, Saturday (4/26).

Sick, Five Students Did Not Take National Exam

According to Marbun, the exam sheets are currently still in printing process, and is predicted to finish within this week. Afterwards, those sheets will be stored in the printing company’s warehouse in Sidoarjo, East Java.

“I cannot tell the name of the printing company. The exam sheets for SMP will arrive in Jakarta on upcoming May 3, two days before the exam. Then on May 4, the sheets will be distributed to 22 sub-districts in Jakarta,” he uttered.
