Basuki Offers New Transjakarta Policy for Bekasi People

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama has heard a protest from Mayor of Bekasi, Rahmat Effendy regarding free Transjakarta bus for passengers who already have Bank DKI account. If it is detrimental, Basuki will another policy for Bekasi people.

I offer another policy if free Transjakarta service is detrimental

"I offer another policy if free Transjakarta service is detrimental," he stated, at City Hall, Thursday (5/19).

Considering Transjakarta bus fare until Bekasi is already cheap, that is Rp 3,500. This policy is feared, Bekasi people will switch to Bank DKI than Bank Jabar (BJB).

"The fare is already cheap. If he worries Bekasi people to move to Bank DKI, I could make new regulation for this, where those who have Bank DKI account remains pay to ride Transjakarta," he expressed.

Previously, Mayor of Bekasi, Rahmat Effendy gave his protest about Basuki's policy. This is because 60 percent of Bekasi people are working in Jakarta, and it could harm finance system from banking belongs to local government.
