400 Books Donated to Cipinang Prison

Jakarta Library and Regional Archive Board (BPAD) donated 400 books to Cipinang prison, East Jakarta, Thursday (5/19). It is hoped the donation would be able to increase the knowledge of the prisoners.

Tinia Budiati, Head of BPAD, said those 400 books contain of many subjects such as general knowledge, technology, planting, literature, and so on.

Meanwhile, Fadlan Z, East Jakarta Head of Library and City Archive Office, stated his side will give coaching related to library management for the prisoners.

“Redesigning for the library will be also run for the sake of visitors comfort,” he stated.

There are 2,500 books in the library of Cipinang prison. More than 100 people visiting the library everyday.
