An explosion gas stove has destroyed four tenements at Jl KRT Radjiman 2, RT 06/12 Jatinegara, Cakung today, Friday (5/20). There was no casualty reported in the incident, but the loss reached more than Rp 180 million. 

Temporary allegation, fire from the stove was left by the owner during cooking. When returning to the house, the flames have burned the house

Based on the information gathered, fire that comes out from a rented house belongs to Sukardi (50) broke out at around 9.55 AM. 

Head of Operation Section for East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-dept, Gatot Sulaiman said the flames from the gas stove grabbed an object and then spread to house roof.

"Temporary allegation, fire from the stove was left by the owner during cooking. When returning to the house, the flames have burned the house," he told, Friday (5/20).

Nevertheless, his side has yet to collect the house occupant's data. There are at least four tenements burned. 

"We sent four fire trucks to the scene, and managed to control the situation around 10.30 AM. Right now, the officer is still cooling down the fire location," he finished.
