Meets Jokowi, Jakarta’s Military Commander Disproves of Political Discussion

Jakarta’s Military Commander (Pangdam Jaya), Indonesia National Army (TNI) Major General Mulyono who recently inaugurated on April 13, meets Jakarta Provincial Governor, Joko Widodo at City Hall, Monday (4/28). But both of them disproved had politic discussion.

No discussion of it (Jakarta’s security). But, Jakarta is safe.

Mulyono admitted, he visited City Hall only for hospitality. Especially he is a new official who replace Major General Hudawi Lubis. “I am a new official. So I have to do hospitality,” Mulyono said, after meeting with Jokowi.

Mulyono would not give further information related to his meeting. When he was asked are there political discussion, the former Operational Assistant of KSAD (Army Chief of Staff) disproved. “Nothing. It's only usual visit,” he added.

Same opinion with Mulyono, Jokowi admitted that his meeting was only for hospitality and there was no discussion about Jakarta security, before presidential election on July 9, 2014. “He is the new Major, so I have to meet him. That’s all,” Jokowi said.

Jokowi ensured that this far, Jakarta condition is still conducive. Hopefully the condition could be maintained ahead of presidential election. The society is also requested to maintain City’s secure.

As known, based on National Army Commander’s Decision number : Kep/207/III/2014 on March 21, 2014, about dismissal and inauguration on position of TNI, Mulyono inaugurated to be Pangdam Jaya replacing his predecessor. Before it, Mulyono was an Operational Assistant of KSAD. The official before him was TNI Major General E Hudawi Lubis that mutated as KSAD Koorsahli (expert staff coordinator). Even though the letter of decision had been released since March 21, but the inauguration was conducted on April 13.
