A middle-aged man, Sopandi (50), a citizen of Pesing Koneng, Kedoya Utara, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, died instantly after being hit by a train at a railroad crossing, Pesing Koneng, Monday (5/30) morning.

His body has been rushed to the Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital for an autopsy

Head of Public Relation Sub-Section for West Jakarta Metro Resort Police, Sr. Comr. Herru Julianto disclosed, based on the information of a witness, Tarlan (27), the victim was at the railroad crossing in a bent position such as being picked up something.

"I was yelling to the victim to immediately get out from the railroad crossing because I saw the rain came from Tangerang-Kota. But the victim did not hear my voice. Then the train instantly hit him and bounced off up to 20 meters from the scene," he expressed.

He explains, the victim had injuries on the head. "His body has been rushed to the Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital for an autopsy. Thus far the case is still being investigated by Police of Kebon Jeruk Metro," he finished.
