Homecoming Route in East Jakarta Needs Improvement

The condition of Kalimalang inspection road is damage at several spots. In fact, the road is used as main access during homecoming season.

Based on Beritajakarta,com’s observation, holes and bumpy surface are seen easily. Road narrowing is also seen because of crossing construction such as near Transmart, near Cipinang Indah gas station, across Borobudur University, across Harum Hospital, Lampiri crossroad and Jalan Haji Naman intersection.

Rojikin (31), Kramat Jati resident, admitted he always uses the road for homecoming by using motorcycle. Even though the access has several damage spots, but he tolerates the condition because of toll road construction.

“Becakayu toll road construction should not interfere Kalimalang inspection road,” he said, Monday (5/30).

East Jakarta Mayor, Bambang Musyawardana, stated there is still time to repair the road. His side will coordinate with central government for it.

“I’ll coordinate with Public Works Ministry and contractor to repair the road,” he stated.
