Basuki: Frozen Meat is Healthier

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama revealed socialization about quality of the frozen meat must be given to Jakartans. All this time, the meat that sold in the market operation is less demand by the people.

"The frozen meat is actually healthier. Because its blood has been shed to dry," he disclosed, at City Hall, Tuesday (5/31).

According to him, the meat also meets the requirement in the modern animal slaughterhouse (RPH) that should have halal certificate. The animal blood must be dried from the meat after being slaughtered.

He continued people need socialization thus willing to buy frozen meats from the government. It also aims to pressure meat price in the market.

"So it is just about educating the people actually," he told.

He added, the meat also been used in restaurants for food menu because it is healthier and cleaner.

"In restaurant, they use frozen meat. Certainly we will set all well for frozen meat," he disclosed.
