Tourism sector in Seribu Islands is able to absorb labor force for local residents. Especially at this time, the islands has set as the 10th national tourist destination. Therefore, the Karang Taruna is ready to support the development of tourism sector.

Chairman of South Seribu Islands' Sub-district Karang Taruna, R Hamid stated this is the potential for youth on the island.

"Based on the geographical location, it is very suitable if it is to increase the people's economy through the tourism sector," he told, Tuesday (5/31).

There are some sectors of new jobs, such as tour guides, food service providers and travel agents.

"We have been set as  the 10th national tourist destination, therefore, the youth asked to play an active role to support the program," he finished.
