"Vaccinations are carried out at locations that have been coordinated with local residents and urban village officials, according to their requests," she said, Tuesday (2/3).

She explained that the vaccinated animals included 50 dogs, 10 monkeys, three civets, and 719 cats. This effort is expected to help keep Jakarta rabies-free.

In addition to vaccination, Irawati added, in Lebak Bulus Urban Village, Cilandak District, the activity was also accompanied by animal sterilization using the Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) method.

This program is implemented in collaboration with the Environmental Care Foundation (YPLI) and animal lover communities.

"Information regarding rabies vaccination activities throughout 2026 can be monitored via the Instagram account of the South Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency," she added.

Irawati hopes that the implementation of this rabies vaccination will improve the safety and health of pets and their owners.

"The requirements are quite easy, the animal must be in good health, not pregnant, at least four months old, and the owner must have a Jakarta ID card," she explained.
